EV Rider reviewer Dan Scanlan takes a test drive in a 2026 Range Rover Sport SE Dynamic, a luxurious son of the biggest, most royal RR of all, and descendant of a famous war hero.

This is the fifth-generation Range Rover Sport – a tidier 194.7-inch version of the full-size (199-inch) Range Rover. This sleek aluminum-bodied shape gets a matte gray paint job, big black alloy wheels and massive 23-inch Pirelli Scorpions. Under the alloy bonnet lives a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V-8 with 523 hp, hooked to four-wheel-drive with multiple modes for sport or full off-road – raises from 8.5 inches of ground clearance to a maximum 11.1 in seconds.

Inside, cocooning black leather buckets with 22-way power adjust, wood, more leather, and a sleek, minimalist dashboard design with almost no real buttons. A floating 13.7-inch center touchscreen has navigation, audio, performance and mileage screens, apps, and more..
mpg. There’s a 29-speaker, 1,430-watt Meridian sound system, and decent room in back for two more adults.
