But wait, here’s more…

Photos courtesy of Alfa Romeo

At the 2026 Brussels Motor Show, Alfa Romeo presented the Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa – only 10 will be made – that it says combines Italian excellence, extreme performance and absolute exclusivity.

The first fruit of the partnership between Alfa Romeo and Luna Rossa, it was developed as part of the BOTTEGAFUORISERIE universe, creating  unique, technologically advanced objects deeply rooted in Italian excellence, Alfa says.

It is the most efficient Quadrifoglio model ever: the new low-drag kit in carbon fiber – consisting of appendages on the front bumper, a pair of profiles on the bottom of the bodywork, dedicated side skirts, and the spectacular rear wing – generates up to five times more downforce than the production version, ensuring exceptional stability at all speeds. At 186 mph, it reaches a peak of 300-plus pounds of downforce with very high aerodynamic efficiency values.

The exterior is embellished with a hand-painted iridescent paint reminiscent of the shades of the Luna Rossa hull, a  two-tone contrast – bonnet, roof and rear in black “boat deck” paired with gray. For the first time, the legendary Alfa Romeo logos come in red, a symbol of passion and competitive spirit.

Inside, the Sparco seats stand out, upholstered with textures and graphics inspired by the Personal Flotation Devices (PFDs) used by the boat’s crew. The dashboard is embellished with original material from Luna Rossa sails, a detail that conveys the synergy with the racing world on the water. Power is as standard in a Guilia Quadrifoglio – 2.9-liter twin-turbo V-6 with 520 hp and eight-speed automatic transmission, with a mechanical self-locking differential out back.

 Photos courtesy of Nissan

The 2027 Nissan Z – aka Fairlady Z – got a quiet reveal at the recent 2026 Tokyo Auto Salon. And the redesign has a sharper face with some serious heritage cues. First comes a redesigned two-piece nose with simple bar under a retro-240Z design grill, plus fresh 19-inch wheels. Inside, a tan interior that shows a 6-speed manual shifter.

A NISMO version also gets a 6-speed manual, retuned ECU and throttle mapping, upgraded dampers and GT-R-derived brakes. The 3-liter twin-turbo V6 remains untouched.

Oh yes – the Nissan badge on the nose reverts to a Z emblem.

No word on price or when we see the new Z stateside.

The Amelia Concours – Three-time Indianapolis 500 winner Dario Franchitti is the 2026 honoree at the event in early March. And the concours d’elegance – the classic car gathering at the huge weekend classic car event on Amelia Island, is set for a Saturday, and not a Sunday as in past, Hagerty says.

Franchitti won the Indy 500 in 2007, 2010 and 2012, and is also a 4-time IndyCar champion.

The Legends of Speed dinner with Franchitti is at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, March 6 at the hotel; Tickets are $355 per person, including dinner and open bar – this event is for ages 21+.

The concours is now on Saturday, March 7th will see a collection of his race cars joining the annual display of 200-plus classics this year including Can-Am Racers and Corvettes. More details and ticket pre-sales are at ameliaconcours.com.

Porsche Werks

Registration has opened for Porsche Werks Reunion Amelia Island 2026, always held the same weekend as The Amelia.

This event will celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the introduction of the 924 in 1976, as well as the series of transaxle Porsches, which will be the feature cars for Werks Reunion 2026.

To register your Porsche, go to https://www.werksreunion.com/amelia.cfm

And once again, Amelia Concours Weekend welcomes the Concours d’Lemons, held in conjunction with the Classic Motorsports Magazine Amelia Kick Off Party at Main Beach Park, 32 North Fletcher Ave. in Fernandina Beach. Celebrate the weird, wonderful and just plain outta-here. Free for spectators and $28.52 per entrant – register here.

Quick Spin: 2026 Buick Enclave Avenir

EV Rider reviewer Dan Scanlan takes a test drive in a 2026 Buick Enclave Avenir – the flagship of the fleet.

This Buick gets the Avenir name from a classy 2016 concept car that was called a “glimpse into the future.” That future a few years later is a distinctive mid-size all-wheel-drive crossover with a redesigned-for-2026 face with wide grill, slick LED lights and a sleek look.

Inside, it has three adult-size rows of leather in its long wheelbase, heated and cooled up front, with a long display screeen for all infotainment needs. The 16-speaker Bose audio system, plus wireless Apple Car Play and Android Auto, and HD radio. The center row reclines and slides – and there’s room in back for luggage along with 6 to 7 folks. And its turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine has 328 hp – quick and fairly fuel-efficient, if a bit snarly.

So read lots more about this, and see more interior and exterior images by EV Rider reviewer Dan Scanlan – Buick Smooth: Enclave Avenir Glides Into 2026. And check out lots more views of EV, PHEV and ICE vehicles at EV Rider.

This year’s Mecum Kissimmee auction will offer an estimated 4,500 vehicles from now through Jan. 18 at Osceola Heritage Park. And fan can watch the auction action live on ESPN+ from Jan. 14 to 17, or livestreamed on Mecum’s website via the Live Block Cam.

Headlining the Mecum Kissimmee 2026 auction lineup is a vehicle revered by collectors worldwide as the pinnacle of Ferrari desirability: the Ferrari 250 GTO – Lot S204. Chassis 3729GT is the only factory white example among the total 36 built between 1962 and 1964, earning it the name Bianco Speciale.

Also crossing the block are a pair of Ford GT40s. The first is one of only two GT40s driven by Carroll Shelby: a 1965 Ford GT40 MkI . The other is the most original MkII in existence: a striking red 1966 Ford GT40 MkII Factory Lightweight

From The Cliff Ernst Collection is another main attraction assemblage, this one reflecting decades of meticulous curation headlined by the legendary 1969 Yenko Camaro Prototype , along with an a 1969 Chevrolet Yenko Nova—one of the very few known to exist today.

Quick Take Review: 2025 Subaru BRZ

EV Rider reviewer Dan Scanlan takes a test drive in the updated second-gen version of a favorite – and it has a 6-speed manual transmission and rear wheel drive, and fits in with some other quick Japanese compacts.

The 2025 Subaru BRZ ts is a familiar 2+2 coupe shape with aggressive face, just enough aero, and updated with more details than when it was introduced in 2021. There’s functional side vents, 18-inch Michelin rubber on gray alloy wheels, and bronze Brembo brake calipers inside.

There’s grippy seats, a precise gearbox and just enough equipment to make commuting and travels fun. The back seats are better for he dog or stuff, the trunk roomy enough. And yes, there’s Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (not wireless), but no HD FM.

And its quick enough, as well as very agile – a good track day toy as well as commuter.

.

So read lots more about this, and see more interior and exterior images by EV Rider reviewer Dan Scanlan – 2025 Subaru BRZ tS Keeps The Manual Flame Alive. And check out lots more views of EV, PHEV and ICE vehicles at EV Rider.

The U-1 Unlimited Hydroplane is the most successful Gold Cup hydroplane boat in the more than 100-year history of the A.P.B.A., with 24 victories between 1987 and 1994.

Alfa Romeo kicked off Miami Art Week with a dynamic presence at both Art Basel and BitBasel, bringing the brand’s distinctive Italian design, dynamic racing heritage and stunning craftsmanship to the largest high-end art show in the United States.

Alfa Romeo launched Art Week with an exclusive celebration at Hagerty Garage + Social on Dec. More than 200 attendees experienced 115 years of Alfa Romeo history, anchored by the ultra-exclusive 33 Stradale, the upcoming 2026 Tonale SUV and a curated selection of legendary race cars. Among them was the iconic Alfa Romeo 155 V6 TI, famed for securing the 1993 DTM championship under the command of driver Nicola Larini. The evening also showcased the evocative work of Italian artist and photographer Luca Artioli, whose fine-art automotive portraits filled the venue with vibrant motion and emotion

Later in the week, from Dec. 3-7, Alfa Romeo had a high-visibility installation in partnership with BitBasel at the Sagamore Hotel, featuring the 33 Stradale alongside a Tonale Art Car wrapped in a graphic design inspired by BitBasel’s sixth anniversary. With more than 100,000 pedestrians passing the Sagamore during Art Basel, the display delivered one of the week’s most photographed and talked-about moments.

Franchitti won the Indy 500 in 2007, 2010 and 2012, and is also a 4-time IndyCar champion. The concours on Saturday, March 7th will see a collection of his race cars joining the annual display of 200-plus classics this year including Can-Am Racers and Corvettes. Quick Take: 2025 Jeep Gladiator Willys 4×4 Heritage

EV Rider reviewer Dan Scanlan takes a test drive in Jeep’s Wrangler-based Gladiator pickup truck. It carries on a Jeep tradition of putting a useful bed on one of its gnarliest off-road versions, in this case the Willys trim.

The Gladiator gets lots of classic Jeep heritage, from blocky fenders and fold-down windshield to deep-treaded 17-inch Firestone Destination off-road tires – and traditional hood clamps.

Inside, sturdy cloth seats, a user(as in gloved hand)-friendly dashboard with big knobs, and rubber floor mats. A bigger digital infotainment screen can show a pitch and roll, or four-wheel-drive/locked center and rear differential status, as can the gauge package’s display. There’s good passenger room, a removable roof and doors – and 35.5-cu.ft. cargo bed with a lightweight aluminum tailgate. And the 3.6-liter V-6 with 285 hp gets Command-Trac 4×4 system with two-speed transfer case and more for decent off-road prowess.

But wait, here’s more…

We showed the sketch – now here’s Hyundai’s CRATER Concept adventure vehicle, presented during a press conference at AutoMobility LA 2025. Called a “compact off-road SUV vehicle that visually expresses capability and toughness,” the design exploration captures the spirit of adventure, Hyundai says. Conceived at Hyundai America Technical Center (HATCI) in Irvine, CA., the CRATER is on view now at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

“CRATER began with a question: ‘What does freedom look like?’ This vehicle stands as our answer,” said SangYup Lee, Executive Vice President and Head of Hyundai and Genesis Global Design. “It is a vision shaped by our unending drive to explore — to inspire our customers to explore deeper and embrace the impact of adventure.”

Outside, chiseled bodysides to bold skid plates, with steep approach and departure angles and hexagonal faceted 18-inch wheels inspired by envisioning a hexagonal asteroid impacting a sheer metal landscape. They are clad in 33-inch off-road tires, with a wide, functional skid plate across CRATER Concept’s underbody.

A pair of cables stretching from the front hood to the roof promise added protection from low-hanging branches on narrow and overgrown trails. FYI – one of CRATER Concept’s built-in recovery hooks performs double duty as bottle opener, and side-mirror cameras double as flashlights that can be removed.

Inside the CRATER Concept, technical shapes are wrapped in soft-yet-durable materials, resulting in a stylish, natural integration that delivers comfort, support, and practicality in any environment. Simultaneously tough yet warm, the CRATER Concept’s singular interior design starts with its high-brow crash pad, which bridges the vehicle’s exterior with its interior. unconventional dashboard’s crash pad is shaped like a bent metal sheet, wrapping around the form. Subtle perforations allow soft light to glow through, creating a refined and distinctive aura unique to the concept.

And its motivation – dual electric motors, but no production powerplant info is available.

Revology Cars, the Orlando, Fl. builder of re-engineered and restored 1960s Mustangs, has unveiled its most sophisticated Mustang yet: the 1969 Boss 429. And the new Revology Boss 429 blends the iconic design of the original with modern performance, comfort, and everyday drivability.

“The Boss 429 is one of the rarest and most desirable muscle cars ever built,” said Tom Scarpello, founder and CEO of Revology Cars. “The Revology Boss 429 is not a copy of that iconic model, but a redefinition of it, leveraging modern technology, engineering, and manufacturing processes to make it as reliable and fun to drive as it is to look at.”

The Revology Boss 429 features an all-new steel body, assembled using automated spot welding, seam welded joints, and heat-cured structural adhesive, to create an exceptionally rigid structure.

Power comes from a supercharged and intercooled 5-liter, 710-hp Ford Ti-VCT V8, paired with a six-speed manual or 10-speed automatic transmission. The chassis has a double-wishbone front suspension with aluminum subframe and a three-link rear suspension with torque arm and Panhard rod. Hydraulic power rack-and-pinion steering, power four-wheel disc brakes, tuned springs and dampers deliver precise handling and a compliant ride.

The show car is finished in Lava Orange, a vivid Porsche hue chosen by Yoshi Amano, Revology’s vice president of marketing, sales, and service.

“Its energy and spirit perfectly reflect what we do at Revology—breathing new life into classic cars,” she said.

To date, Revology has delivered 324 cars to clients in the U.S. and 19 foreign countries.
