“Worst LeMons “Worst of Show” went to this 1950s VW-powered New Holland Manure Spreader. This esteemed classic’s owner was listed as “Jeffro Bodeen.” And show organizers say it is a real horse drawn manure spreader with a classic Beetle front end, and air-cooled powerplant grafted on its ends. And we are told the spreader mechanism still works!

FSCJ Car Show: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, at Florida State College at Jacksonville’s downtown campus at 401 W. State St. Free for spectators and $20 donation per show vehicle. Plus, the next Electrathon race for high school- and college-built (FSCJ too) EV race cars is set for the show.

Katelyn’s Ride for Autism: A Golf Cart Poker Run based in Hilliard, which promotes autism awareness, acceptance and inclusion across Northeast Florida. All proceeds benefit The Arc Nassau. Carts line up at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 18, at Conner Road in Hilliard – $75 per golf cart. Then at 2 p.m., there’s a car show, admission free for show vehicles and spectators – donations welcome. The Nissan Leaf EV has been selected as the Women’s Worldwide Car of the Year winner for 2026, following a final round of voting.
After months of testing, analysis and debate, 86 women motoring journalists from 55 countries across five continents cast their votes to determine the ultimate winner in multiple categories. Along with the Leaf winning the Compact Car class, Compact SUV is the Škoda Elroq EV.

WWCOTY Executive President Marta García says there was significant parity in the voting.
“Several models received very similar levels of support, which reflects the exceptional quality and diversity of today’s automotive industry. In the end, however, the Nissan Leaf prevailed,” she said.
The Nissan Leaf convinced the jury with a coherent and realistic approach to electric mobility, “designed for realistic and accessible everyday use,” WWCOTY officials said.
