Truth Pointe Church Cruisin’ For Christ Car Show:  11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 19 at the church at 5330 Dunn Ave. Free for spectators and $20 per show vehicle.

Florida Crown Region PCA Fall Concours and Swap Meet: 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 19 at Porsche Service Center St. Augustine at 501 World Commerce Parkway.  Free to spectate, and $50 to show a Porsche.

North Jax Baptist Church Car Show: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26 at the church at 8531 N. Main St. Free.

Built to Be Seen Car Show: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 26, at the Orange Park Mall at 1910 Wells Road. Spectators are free, while show vehicles are $30 by a September 1 pre-registration deadline, or $40 day of show. The event benefits children affected by substance abuse, and is sponsored by Driving Hope Forward.

Staker Production’s Endless Summer Showcase 4/Downtown Edition: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26, in the grassy field across from Decca Live at 323 E. Bay St. Organizers are shutting down East Bay Street and utilizing the waterfront grass area to host the event, with a full stage setup, vendors and display vehicles from across Florida and Georgia. Spectator entry is $20 per adult and $10 per child; show cars are $40, and motorcycles are $30. Cars & Cannons: 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 26, at Fort Clinch State Park in Fernandina Beach. The annual event is $50 for pre-2001 cars and trucks, and $75 for Jaguars, the featured marque. Spectators must pay the $6 per vehicle for 2 to 8 people, $4 for a single-occupant vehicle or motorcycle, and $2 for pedestrians or bicyclists for park entry, then an extra fee of $2.50 per person to get into the fort, but all show proceeds benefit of Fort Clinch State Park. 

SAW Kustomz Car Show at Rawfest: 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 26, at Flamingo Lake RV at 3640 Newcomb Road – pre-1988 vehicles only.

Black Creek Fall Festival Car Show: 9 a.m. to3 p.m. on Saturday Sept. 26 at Black Creek Methodist Church at 3925 Main St. Free for spectators and 425 per show vehicle.

First Coast Car Council’s Cruisin’ to the Creek Car Show: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3, at Trout Creek Memorial Park at 6550 Florida 13 in Northwest St. Johns County.  Free for spectators and $30 registration for show vehicles day of show. Proceeds benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Jacksonville.

Motore Di Elite: 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10 at Daytona International Speedway. This event brings together curated supercars, rare collectibles, and purpose-built race machines. Admission is $29.26 per person, kids 12 and under are free with adult ticket holder. There is a “DRIVEN: An Evening of Purpose” fundraiser benefitting the Tim Tebow Foundation featuring curated cocktails, a silent auction, and more – $214.10.

Black Hammock Island Golf Cart Club Car Show: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31, at 15770 Sawpit Road. Free for spectators and $30 per show vehicle.

The Barn at Maple Car Show/Farmers Market: October 17 at the venue at 545 Cathy Tripp Lane in Jacksonville. 

30th annual 8 Flags Car Show: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17, along Centre Street in downtown Fernandina Beach. Spectators are free, and $30 pre-registration for show vehicles can be done here – Corvettes are the featured marque. More information, curated car entry submission and more at motoredielite.com.

Trunk or Treat Car Show: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 31, at Adamec Harley-Davidson at 380 Outlet Mall Blvd. in St. Augustine. Free for spectators and $20 per show vehicle.

Hillcrest Baptist Church Car Show: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 31, at the church at 7673 Collins Road.

5th Saturday Cruise In at the Creek Trunk-or-Treat: 10a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31, at Trout Creek Memorial Park at 65550 State Road 13 N.

Rods on the River: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7, at 2352 State Road 13 in Saint Johns. This is a private property, but spectators are free and show vehicle registration is $30 per, or $40 for a premium spot. This is a fundraiser for 6:8 Ministries.

Ponte Vedra Auto Show: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, November 8, at 245 Nocatee Center in Ponte Vedra Beach. Free to the public and $63 per show vehicle, advance registration is requested. Show organizers say the event will feature race cars of all types. If you own an open wheel car, road racer, rally car, even a dragster, register to show it at pvautoshow.com/show-car-registration. The show features 200+ classic and collector cars all vying for the show’s awards. 

Third annual Mandarin Athletic Car Show: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, November 8, at Mandarin Athletic Association ball park at 3740 Burnett Park Road. Free for spectators and $25 day of show for show vehicles. 

Pine Royale Holiday Kickoff Car Show: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 14, at Pine Royale at 4100 Callahan Club Blvd. Free for spectators and $25 per show vehicle.

Third annual USS Orleck Pearl Harbor Remembrance Car Show: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5, at the USS Orleck museum at 610 E  Bay St. Spectators to the car show are free; $28.29 per show vehicle.

The FIRM (Florida International Rally and Moto Park: Open Track Days held most weekends at the road course and rally course at 7266 Airport Road in Starke.

Staker Production’s Endless Summer Showcase 4/Downtown Edition: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26, in the grassy field across from Decca Live at 323 E. Bay St. Organizers are shutting down East Bay Street and utilizing the waterfront grass area to host the event, with a full stage setup, vendors and display vehicles from across Florida and Georgia. Spectator entry is $20 per adult and $10 per child; show cars are $40, and motorcycles are $30. Cars & Cannons: 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 26, at Fort Clinch State Park in Fernandina Beach. The annual event is $50 for pre-2001 cars and trucks, and $75 for Jaguars, the featured marque. Spectators must pay the $6 per vehicle for 2 to 8 people, $4 for a single-occupant vehicle or motorcycle, and $2 for pedestrians or bicyclists for park entry, then an extra fee of $2.50 per person to get into the fort, but all show proceeds benefit of Fort Clinch State Park.

Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance

Best of Show at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance was awarded to a Duesenberg SSJ originally owned by Clark Gable. 

This year, 218 cars – including 33 international entries from 14 countries and 185 US entries from 30 states – pulled onto the competition field. The winning 1935 Duesenberg SSJ Special Speedster was shown by Harry Yeaggy of Cincinnati, Ohio.

“Duesenberg often tops the list of desires for people with a passion for American classics, and the iconic SSJ is the marque’s ultimate expression,” Concours Chairperson Sandra Button said in a news release. “This Special Speedster, one of just two made, offers both style and performance—and has a fantastic Hollywood backstory.”

“I won once before, 19 years ago, but I appreciate it a lot better now,” said Yeaggy. “I appreciate the hard work it took and the time it took to get here. People don’t realize how hard it is, how special it is, to win this award. It’s amazing.” 

Duesenberg retains its status as the Pebble Beach Concours’ winningest American marque, now having earned a total of eight Best of Show trophies.

JCB Hydromax

Hydrogen powered a sleek one-man land speed record machine to a new record recently, as Andy Green and the JCB Hydromax team traveled at 406.320 mph. Green, you may remember, The now-retired RAF Wing Commander is no stranger to a speed record, being both the current holder of the land speed record at 763.035mph and the first person to break the sound barrier on land.

The team returned to Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah, where the car recorded the average speed 400.623 mph in its first run, and 412.135mph on its second. This gave an average of 406.320mph – the fastest a hydrogen internal combustion car has ever travelled.

The speed also exceeds the 303mph hydrogen fuel cell mark – making JCB Hydromax the fastest hydrogen-powered vehicle of any kind in history.

Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion

A never-before-seen gathering of some of the most dominating race cars and world championship-winning motorcycles from Japan took center stage for the annual Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion last weekend at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.

Taking the front row in the photo is Alex Palou’s Honda-powered Dallara IndyCar flanked by the historic rotary-engined Mazda 767B and 24 Hours of Le Mans-winning Toyota Gazoo Racing TS050 Hybrid.

The field was curated from museums, private collections and automakers to showcase years of innovation. 

Gordon Murray Special Vehicles

The man behind the McLaren F1 has revealed the new S1 supercar with a naturally aspirated V-12-powered, and a manual transmission.

Based on his S1 LM platform, which is optimized for mechanical grip rather than high downforce, Gordon Murray Special Vehicles’ supercar offers a revised suspension for long distance journeys, while reframing the set-up for fast, engaging, long-distance road driving, Murray says.

“We wanted to show how much beauty and purity there is in this design when the more extreme aerodynamic elements of the S1 LM are stripped away,” Murray says. “It has the same intensity, response, and engineering integrity, but has been tuned for a different purpose. This is a car you could drive along the coast from Los Angeles to Monterey in real comfort, still enjoying every gearshift, every corner, and every note of the V12 when the road opens up.”

The S1 removes the S1 LM’s large, fixed rear wing, long front splitter, and deep side skirts; every exterior body panel is new. An active rear aero system is integrated into the bodywork. And it’s all powered by a naturally aspirated 4.2-liter Cosworth V-12 producing up to 680 hp.

Inside, the S1 retains the central driving position and low scuttle height that define Gordon Murray’s driver focus, while introducing premium leather, bespoke fabrics, tailored trim, touring-level seat comfort, enhanced acoustic insulation, revised infotainment screens, and a bespoke lightweight audio system make the three-seat cabin more suited to long-distance use. And only 64 will be made.

When Lamborghini unveiled the Miura in 1966, its groundbreaking mid-engine architecture, dramatic proportions, and Marcello Gandini design transformed automotive engineering into rolling sculpture.

Quick Take: 2026 Lincoln Nautilus Black Label

EV Rider reviewer Dan Scanlan takes a test drive in a 2026 Lincoln Nautilus AWD Black Label – a third-generation midsize luxury crossover done in pearl white metallic paint on 22-inch Goodyear Eagle GT rubber wrapped around 10-spoke bladed wheels. LED headlights, taillights and accents, along with some serious gloss black dressed up our Lincoln like a white tuxedo-clad Fred Astaire. Sculpted flanks and a low, black roof add more presence..

The interior starts with a dramatic wraparound screen with drivers information, navigation, audio info, even a media screen on the far right that only the passenger can see. Then perched on a buff wood trim with pinpoint steel dots is an 11.1-inch-wide infotainment screen for Home Screen (map and audio), or car functions, info screens, etc.

There’s a 28-speaker Revel Ultima audio that sounded great. The front seats are comfy, while wide back doors open to more leather and suede in a roomy 3-person bench seat with great head and leg room, and a long moonroof overhead. And under the rear power hatch, a large carpeted cargo area.

Power comes solely from a turbocharged 2-liter four-cylinder engine with 250 hp and 280 lb.-ft. of torque, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel-drive. It’s quick – 60 mph in a decent 7.2 seconds. The ride is plush and very comfortable, handling secure with all wheel drive.

Staker Productions and the Jacksonville Sports Car Museum hold a special automotive showcase to showcase a special lineup of vehicles – and one of the wildest hypercars recently acquired by the museum at Deerwood Castle at 7601 Centurion Parkway. Set for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. The event includes live DJ entertainment, food trucks and vendors, and exclusive vehicle displays from area Bentley, Lamborghini, Audi, BMW, Lexus and Maserati dealerships, plus First Coast Hot Wheels. Tickets – $30 per person – can be purchased in advance through the Jacksonville Sports Car Museum page or at the gate on the day of the event.

More than 100 classic and specialty cars were shown during the Concours d’Elegance at Copshaholm on the lawn and gardens of the historic 38-room Oliver Mansion in South Bend, Indiana, adjacent to the Studebaker National Museum. Among the entries was a Studebaker that originated at South Bend’s Studebaker factory before making its way to Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Nope – Aston Martin’s new Dreadnought is a digital-only military specification vehicle designed exclusively for the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.

Created in collaboration with the game’s developers and publishers, this angular and deliberately extreme creation combines Aston Martin’s high-performance, luxury DNA with the virtual landscape of Call of Duty to deliver an immersive experience designed to dominate the most challenging and unforgiving digital environments yet rendered, the British carmaker says.

Conceived by the Aston Martin Design team, the tactical all-wheel drive SUV player experience includes “the roar of a full-blooded V-12 powered Aston Martin,” plus advanced armor technologies and adaptive combat zone intelligence systems, the company says.

“To create the ultimate exotic off-road machine, I had to imagine Dreadnought not only as a digital asset, but as a vehicle living in the real world,” Aston Martin Chief Creative Officer Marek Reichman said. “ …  That vision allowed us to create something that feels genuinely real, even within the immersive world of the game.”

The digital creation gets a carbon fiber chassis, door hinges in anodised Satin Gold, and an Oxford Tan leather dashboard and door panels, plus metallic gold gear lever. Here’s an example of automotive spaghetti – the NILU hypercar’s “Hot V” engine with its 12 swirling exhaust pipes is alive, according to its makers at Nilu27. Founders Sasha and Inna Selipanov recently traveled to New Zealand to witness the brand new V-12 engine fired for the first time.

The milestone took place on , June 17,  marking a first run for the highly anticipated power unit. Developed in close collaboration with specialized high-performance engine developers Hartley Engines, the power unit is a masterclass in traditional internal combustion engineering.

It features a unique “Hot V” configuration – with the exhaust headers placed between the cylinder heads to optimize both performance and packaging. And while the engine was originally projected to produce 1,070 horsepower, initial dyno testing has already exceeded those projections, while reaching a spine-tingling 11,000 RPM redline.

“To see this bespoke V12 come to life after months of intense development is an indescribable feeling. This isn’t just an engine; it’s a piece of art that pushes the boundaries of what a naturally aspirated power unit can do. We knew we had something special on paper, but seeing it outperform expectations on the dyno right out of the gate is phenomenal.”

The naturally aspirated  6.5-liter, 12-cylinder engine has an 80-degree bank angle….and those who drive it will have a 7-speed manual. Following further testing, final calibration and refinement cycles in New Zealand, the V-12 engine will soon leave Palmerston North for the Nilu27 R&D and production facilities in Lahr, Germany. Once there, it will be integrated into the company’s first driving prototype.

Britain’s venerable Morgan Motor Company has a new car – but there’s only nine to be built, and sadly, it looks like none of the Midsummer coupe will be coming to the U.S.

The design has billet aluminum A-pillars, with a windshield bonded directly to its structure. Inside, cream leather with teak wood inlays and real aluminum. Under its bonnet, BMW’s turbocharged 3-liter inline-6 paired to an 8-speed automatic.

“Midsummer Coupé began with a conversation,” said Morgan Managing Director Matthew Hole. “A client came to us with an idea and, rather than asking how closely we could meet that brief, we asked ourselves how far we could take it.”

The introduction of a fixed-head architecture allowed Morgan’s designers to rethink the vehicle’s proportions, the roofline flowing seamlessly into the rear bodywork. The ash body frame forms part of the load-bearing architecture, helping transfer loads through the structure whilst also providing natural acoustic benefits. 

No price tag announced – and no mention of it on Morgan’s U.S. website.

Staker Productions and the Jacksonville Sports Car Museum hold a special automotive showcase to showcase a special lineup of vehicles – and one of the wildest hypercars recently acquired by the museum at Deerwood Castle at 7601 Centurion Parkway. Set for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, the event includes live DJ entertainment, food trucks and vendors, and exclusive vehicle displays from area Bentley, Lamborghini, Audi, BMW, Lexus and Maserati dealerships, plus First Coast Hot Wheels.

Tickets – $30 per person – can be purchased in advance through the Jacksonville Sports Car Museum page or at the gate on the day of the event.

Pikes Peak

Romain Dumas is the 2026 king of the mountain.

Dumas piloted the 2025 Ford Super Mustang Mach-E to the summit of Pikes Peak in 8:18.202, a year after the 1,400-hp electric special won its class, but only came in second place overall.

The Mach-E has 6-Phase fed by 50kWh of ultra-high-performance Li-polymer NMC pouch cells.

There’s a carbon braking system, forged magnesium wheels, and Pirelli P-Zero tires designed to handle 156 turns up to the 14,115-foot summit. The body shape and wings create 6,900 lbs. of downforce at 150 mph.

Quick Look: 2026 Ford Explorer Tremor 4WD

EV Rider reviewer Dan Scanlan takes a test drive in a 2026 Ford Explorer Tremor 4WD, basically the police package of this SUV for the civilian who wants to play with serious off-road equipment.

The 2026 is a 2025 refresh of the revamped 2020 model, the Tremor’s new grill getting wider, a copper bar accent across the black honeycomb mesh between LED headlights with strip DRLs. Black alloy wheels, one spoke done in copper, wear off-road oriented 18-inch Bridgestone Dueller A/T rubber. It’s recognizably an Explorer, but with off-road lights flanking the Ford emblem.

Inside, the 2025 refresh of the Explorer eliminated a lot of physical controls – perforated aluminum Bang & Olufsen speaker grills accent doors over more stitched armrests, while dash center, a wider touchscreen that handles almost every infotainment function you wish, albeit some a menu tap or two down. Plush leather and suede seats get heat, cooling and massage, plus more copper stitching and “TREMOR” embroidered in the seat uppers. Captain’s chairs in the second row have great head and leg room with a usable if low rear 2-person bench seat – second and third rows fold flat to really expand space.

There’s a 3-liter EcoBoost V-6 with 400 hp, easily tackling a muddy, pot-holed mud path next to a salt marsh. On the road, in Sport mode, the Explorer seems to pull out of the hole quicker en route to 60 mph in a quick 4.8 seconds. And in corners – all-wheel-drive is invoked in Sport mode – power distribution is sent to the wheels as needed, so it stayed neutral with a little body roll around corners.
