The 1000 Miglia—the “most beautiful race in the world”, as Enzo Ferrari famously called it—came to a close on June 21st, after passing through some of Italy’s most picturesque towns. Maserati was one of the event’s stars, participating in the famous regularity race for classic cars with an iconic A6 GCS/53, which finished 49th overall.
The start took place on, June 17th from Brescia, where the A6 GCS/53 embarked on another adventure in the 2025 1000 Miglia historical re-enactment. Under the hood, the 2-liter inline six-cylinder engine designed by Gioachino Colombo—with a short-stroke “Superquadro” architecture, twin-ignition, and gear-driven double overhead camshafts—showcased the reliability of a classic engine that remains surprisingly relevant to this day. From Lombardy, the vehicle headed south, crossing the Po Valley before reaching Bologna. The next day it took on the Apennine crossings, including the world-renowned Raticosa and Futa passes—stretches that highlighted the vehicle’s steering precision and chassis stability. After navigating the mountainous terrain, the route gently descended into central Tuscany, with its rolling hills and historical towns, before arriving in Rome, where the second day came to a conclusion.
The vehicles reversed course the following day, heading back through central Italy along a more technical and varied route. Privately-owned and currently undergoing the Certification of Authenticity process at Maserati Classiche, this extraordinary model participated in five consecutive editions of the 1000 Miglia speed race (1953 to 1957).

Maserati also brought a new GranCabrio, a GranTurismo Trofeo and a Grecale Trofeo—creating a bridge between the brand’s past and present lineups. The three models were “dressed” in three exclusive liveries, each of which was inspired by both a classic model that played a significant role in the event’s history and a unique version of the Trident logo over the years.

Paying tribute to its heritage while looking to the future, Alfa Romeo marked its 115th anniversary with a major event at the Alfa Romeo Historical Museum in Arese, this video from the marque looking back on the past year.
The event took place on June 22, welcoming thousands of people, including fans and some of the 300 official clubs from all over the world, who enthusiastically took part in track races, parades and celebratory moments

The Alfa Romeo Historical Museum in Arese saw 1,300 enthusiasts, including some of the 300 official Alfa Romeo clubs from all over the world, and more than 350 cars. Designed to honor the brand’s 115-year history, the event also marked the 10th anniversary of the museum’s reopening following renovations. The program began with the Regularity Course created in collaboration with the Italian Alfa Romeo Register, culminating in a time trial on the internal track. Afterwards, the Club Meeting brought together representatives from official Alfa Romeo Clubs worldwide, providing a unique opportunity to discuss and share ideas. One of the day’s most memorable moments was the commemorative flash mob: 115 unique Alfa Romeo vehicles spelled out “Alfa Romeo 115” (see above) on the museum’s internal track, creating a symbolic and powerful image of the passion that unites Alfisti around the world.
The program concluded with a spectacular car parade led by “Tributo GTA” models, an homage to the legendary Giulia Sprint GTA, now celebrating its 60th anniversary, followed by a group toast paying tribute to the deep sense of belonging that has always driven the Alfa Romeo community.
Commemorating Alfa Romeo’s special birthday is a 115th anniversary interactive e-book, which spans the brand’s very beginning in 1910, when the first A.L.F.A., the 24 HP, was introduced, to today with vehicles such as the new 33 Stradale supercar and the Intensa series, which is available across Giulia, Stelvio and Tonale. All of this and more are detailed in the e-book, including archival photography, much of which comes from the Alfa Romeo Historical Museum in Arese, Italy
