Wait, there’s more:

Digging deep into the seven generations of Z sports cars, Nissan has unveiled the Z Kaze concept that even revives the t-top.
Named for the Japanese word for wind (kaze), the Z Kaze concept’s defining feature is its custom-engineered T-top roof, part of a passion project conceived by a team of Nissan product planners and designers who sought to showcase the open-top roots of the Z sports car.

“The Z Kaze concept celebrates some of Nissan’s most iconic open top sports cars, while recognizing the ’90s tuning culture that helped put Nissan and NISMO on the map,” said Ponz Pandikuthira, senior vice president, chief product and planning officer, Nissan Americas. “This passion project combines Nissan’s engineering excellence, creativity and celebration of the brand’s heritage.”

Designers outfitted the Z Kaze concept in a Pacific Teal paint scheme reflecting the spirit of ’90s sports car culture. The team also enhanced the lines and shape in a nod to the import-tuner car scene of that period: lightweight, vented carbon fiber hood; fender flares; and a custom carbon fiber aerodynamic body ki
The concept rolls on restored 18-inch NISMO LMGT2 wheels. Inside, custom white leather-appointed seating that emphasizes the cabin and the car’s open-air configuration. The twin-turbo 3-liter V-6 is paired with select components from tuning company GReddy, including a front mount air-to-air intercooler kit and Airinx air filter kit.
The Nissan Z Kaze concept will be on display at the Japanese Classic Car Show on Saturday.

More than 60 years after the original delighted Francophiles with its iconic rear engine/rear-wheel-drive 95-hp Renault 8 Gordini, the French automaker is teasing us with a new Gordini concept of the fun l’il family car-turned-sportster.
Saying it is not just a tribute to an icon of French motorsport, the concept also shows how Renault is keeping its heritage alive.

Renault UK Media Site

Renault says the original 8 Gordini (“la Gorde”) was a superb “training car” for a generation of drivers, including Jean Ragnotti. Now comes the reimagining done by Renault Design, wearing 19-inch wheels at the front and 20-inch wheels at the rear and a V-shaped nose with six headlights.
Inside, a 270 hp electric motor.

“We updated the distinctive styling of the original Renault 8, which was virtually symmetrical from front to rear, to give it a more dynamic look,” says Alexandre Malval, Renault VP Design. “With the flowing cabin lines, wide track, prominent wings and wheels of 19 inches at the front and 20 inches at the rear, it appears to hug the road. The decision to make the rear wheels larger creates a visual sense of momentum: a nod to the rear layout that was the hallmark of the hugely enjoyable ride delivered by the original.”

The rear-wheel-drive EV’s interior revisits the original. Its dashboard visor still runs the width of the cabin, while the fascia itself takes the form of a horizontal brushed aluminum strip, providing a mount for the round dials whose thick bezels echo the 3D design of the headlights. In keeping with the “café racer” aesthetic, plastic materials are replaced by brushed aluminum, used for the controls and on large surface areas, creating a contrast with the sections upholstered in Alcantara.
The only feature that catches the eye is the red dot on the stopwatch button in the center of the dashboard. The center of the seat and backrest are upholstered in blue corduroy, forming a contrast with the other parts of the black bucket seat, and brings to mind the old seats that were flat with no headrests.
