Quick Take: 2026 Ford F-150 LOBO

EV Rider reviewer Dan Scanlan takes a test drive in a 2026 Ford F-150 LOBO – a basic pickup with a lowered sport-tuned suspension, 22-inch gloss black wheels, and a 5-liter Coyote V-8.

Take the 14th-generation F-150, add gloss black grill with LED running lights through its middle, and an aggressive lower grill with air dam. Slashed black LOBO-badged fender vents look real. It all rides on a noticeably-lowered suspension – a 2-inch drop – wearing meaty Bridgestone Alenza rubber on faceted 5-spoke black alloy wheels.

Inside, a basic black plastic Ford truck interior with gloss graphite gray trim on the dashboard, which gets a digital 120-mph speedometer, 8,000-rpm tach (7,000-rpm redline) and small engine gauges. Cloth bucket seats, a column shifter and an ignition key – plus roomy back seats and a 5.5-foot cargo bed in back with 52.8 cubic feet of space.

Under the bonnet, 400 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque, upgradable to 700 horsepower with an optional Ford Performance/Whipple supercharger kit – 60 mph in 5.9 seconds in Sport mode. Transmission: 10-speed automatic with a two-speed 4WD system – 2-WD/4WD Auto/4WD/4WDLow .
