Jacksonville Car Culture events calendar 

The next Caffeine &Octane is set for 8 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 13, at The Avenues mall at 10300 Southside Blvd.

Gentle reminders – All vehicles parked in the Central Lot must remain in place until the show concludes. If you cannot stay until then, please park in the exhibit lot. Please park in the exhibit lot if you need to leave prior to 11 a.m. Those parking in the Exotics Lot and the Porsche Corner are free to arrive and leave at any time.

And the 9th Annual San Jose Car & Truck Show at Dupont Station: 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, at Dupont Station, 6271 St. Augustine Road. Free for spectators and $25 to enter a car, the show raised more than $11,000 for Bishop John J. Snyder Community Center at San Jose Apartments for seniors last year.

Third annual Easter Showdown: 3 to 8 p.m. on Saturday at Dames Point Park, 9101 Dames Point road – free to spectators, and $35 registration for show vehicles. the show event celebrates Woman’s Heritage Month.

Miata Renegade Drive: 9 a.m. on Saturday at RaceTrac, 3106 U.S. 17, Green Cove Springs, for a topless drive a drive along the river, across the river for lunch in the Crescent City/Welaka area. Don’t forget your FRS/GMRS radio.

Wheels and Worship Car Show: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Hopewell Church/St. Johns Campus at 1351 Roberts Road. Free for spectators and $20 per show entrant.

Easter Sunday Car, Truck and Bike Show: noon to 6 p.m. Sunday at Lonnie Miller Park, at Soutel Drive and Moncrief Road West. Free for spectators and $20 for vehicle registration

Town of Hilliard Car Show: 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, at 15859 West County Road 108. Free for spectators and $25 for vehicle registration.

2024 Leeperz Jeepers Crawl for Kids Ride/Nassau County: 8:30 a.m. Saturday April 6, Northeast Florida Fair, 543378 U.S. 1 Callahan: This is a Nassau County Sheriff’s Office escorted 50 mile Jeep ride, including both on road and off road (including through wooded logging trails. All proceeds go to Sheriff’s Office’s Shop With Cops program – $45 registration fee.

4th annual Car-B-Que Classic Car Show: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 6, at OneChurch at 324 5th St. N. in Jacksonville Beach.

St. Augustine Cruisers Car Show: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 6, at Classic Car Museum of St Augustine, 4730 Dixie Highway. Free for spectators and $30 for show vehicles.

Jones Road Car Show: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 6, at West Park Baptist Church at 372 Jones Road.

Shindler Drive Baptist Church Cruise-in and Car Show: 8 a.m. to noon Saturday April 6, at the church at 7100 Shindler Drive. Free to spectators and cruise-in vehicles; $10 to compete for trophies.

Brumos Collection Saturday Social: 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 6, at the Brumos Collection at 5159 San Pablo Road S. Admission is $19.99, $14.99 for military. Includes viewing the collection, with extra cars displayed outside, plus a Porsche Concours from the Florida Crown Region of the Porsche Club of America plus UNF’s Osprey Racing Team on display, and food trucks.

Manx in the Sunshine: April 11 to 14 at the Kraft Athletic Club, 961023 Buccaneer Trail in Fernandina Beach. Open to original Meyers Manx dune buggies, and other VW-based buggies. 

Car Show: 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, April 6, at the Jax Speed Shop, 48 Lee Road.

24th annual Riding Into History Motorcycle Concours: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 20 – new location – at the Classic Car Museum of St Augustine, 4730 Dixie Highway. Grand marshal is Henry DeGouw – Grand Marshal’s dinner is Friday, April 19, at the World Golf Village renaissance Hotel. No fee to enter, but registration is requested.

19th annual Railroad Day Festival and Car Show: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 20, at the West Nassau Historical Society, 45383 Dixie Ave. in Callahan. Car show hosted by the Callahan Cruisers.

Second annual Ole Headz Car Club Show: 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 20, at 7822 Fox Tail Lane. 

Hillcrest Baptist Church Car Show: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 27th at the church at 7673 Collins Road. Free for spectators and $25 per show vehicle.

Atlantic Coast Young Marines Benefit Car Show: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, at 5755 Ramona Blvd. 

Rumble at the Ranch: Starts at 8 a.m. Saturday, May 4, at the WW Motorcross Park at 1439 Otis Road. 

St. Paul U.M.C Car, Bike and Truck Show: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday May 4, at the church at 8264 Lone Star Road.

14th annual Rev It Up! Car Show: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday May 11, at Moosehaven, 1701 Park Ave. in Orange Park. Free for spectators and $25 for show vehicles.

Good Sams Car Show: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday May 18 at Tanglewood Station shopping center at 1241 Blanding Blvd. Free for spectators and $25 for show vehicles.

The FIRM (Florida International Rally and Moto Park): Open Track Days held most weekends at the road course and rally course at 7266 Airport Road in Starke.

Wings & Wheels Cruise-in: 2 to 6 pm. each first Saturday at Dicks Wings & Grill at 6055 Youngerman Circle.

Callahan Cruisers: 4 to 7 p.m. every second Saturday at Hardee’s at 542309 U.S. 1 in Callahan. The next cruise-in is a memorial to Tom Poleski, and a fundraiser for the late Callahan Cruisers member’s family.

Downtown Kingsland Cars & Coffee: 9 a.m. to noon each second Saturday at the Historic Downtown Kingsland Homegrown Market at U.S. 17 and Georgia 40.

Cruise Fruit Cove: The Sunshine State Chevelles’ cruise-in hours are 1 to 5 p.m. (winter hours) every third Saturday at the PDQ at 194 Florida 13 in Saint Johns, just south of Julington Creek.

New cruise-in: 1 p.m. every third Saturday at Hardee’s at 6852 Wilson Blvd.

Cars and Coffee Fleming Island: 8 a.m. every fourth Sunday of the month at 2310 Village Square Parkway, Fleming Island.

New cruise-in: 6 p.m. every fourth Saturday at Mission BBQ, 8440 Blanding Blvd. in Jacksonville, hosted by Modern Mustangs of Jacksonville.

Azalea City Cruisers: Monthly cruise-in from 5 to 8 p.m. every fourth Saturday at Velchoffs Corner, 105 N. 2nd St. in Palatka.

Historic Springfield Main Street Cruise: 4 p.m. every fourth Saturday between 8th and 17th streets at Main Street in Jacksonville’s Springfield community.

A double win for the KIA EV9, which won both the 2024 World Car of the Year title as well as the 2024 World Electric Vehicle award. That brings the total number of awards won by KIA to five in the World Car Awards’ 20year history. In 2023, the Kia EV6 GT won the World Performance Car title while in 2020 Kia was the recipient of two awards.

The BMW 5 Series/i5 is the 2024 World Luxury Car. This is the ninth award win for the BMW Group in the World Car Awards’ 20-year history.

The HYUNDAI IONIQ 5 N is the 2024 World Performance Car. This is the seventh award win for the Hyundai Motor Company in the World Car Awards’ 20-year history. In 2023, the Hyundai IONIQ 6 was a triple winner in the World Car of the Year, World Electric Vehicle and the World Car Design of the Year categories.

The TOYOTA PRIUS is the 2024 World Car Design of the Year. 

A jury of 100 international automotive journalists from 29 countries selected the winners by secret ballot based on their evaluation of each eligible vehicle as part of their on-going professional work. And 2024 marks the 19th year of the World Car Awards’ partnership with the New York International Auto Show.

The new Lexus GX was shown, based on the GX 550 Overtrail+, with 18-inch wheels, 33-inch Toyo Open Country All-Terrain tires, and an aluminum skid plate all as standard. For this concept, Lexus also installed rock rails, tire compressor, roof rack with cargo cases, and rear accessory panels.

Genesis showed of its planned performance branch with a number of concepts.

First, the Genesis X Gran Berlinetta Concept – a possible future Gran Turismo car with hybrid all-wheel-drive and a total 1,071 hp. 

Behind it, the GV60 Magma Concept, with a lower, wider stance than the standard GV60, and a large front air intake to cool its electric motors and batteries.

And for sheer fun, the Hoonigan Gymkhana car – Travis Pastrana‘s highly modified 1983 Subaru GL wagon with about 900 hp.

Then there’s the Grassroots Motorsports $2000 Challenge:

Presented by Tire Rack features autocross, drag racing and ingenuity on April 6 and 7 at Gainesville Raceway. New components to this event include: Classes for cars with street tires, cars without budget limitations now welcome, GM cars may be competing against you, and trackside camping now available.

There is a free Hagerty Cars & Caffeine event at the track Sunday morning, and the  $2000 Challenge Swap Meet will also be happening Sunday morning.
